Content!

"Now what am I going to put in my web site? " Well, you already have an idea or you wouldn't be here in the first place. It's time to think how you want to portray your ideas... or products... or services. What will attract visitors to your site to thoroughly browse your site? And to buy?

We'll ask you to be the primary author for your content, although we'll be glad to give you feedback and suggestions. We can help edit your text and work with your pictures to make sure they fit and don't take too much time to download. But you're the best person to set the stage for what will make your words and images unique.

Select your web type...

To help you get started, here are four typical web structures that can accomplish most web objectives. Each can be modified to add special purpose pages, change the number of products/services, or mix pages. But it will be a big help if you can select a basic structure as your starting point.

Tips

Here are some tips to help you think about and develop your content:

  •  Review the sample sites on our Home page and make notes on the kind and number of pages you'll need.
  •  Visit other similar web sites to see how they display their ideas... and make notes.
  •  Think about a name for your website. You can check availability of names at a site like Domains875.
  •  Collect photos of the products you plan to sell, and try to group them into 'categories' that can be pages.
  •  Consider transferring your images to a CD so you can send the complete set to us through the mail.
  •  Think about adding a page that gives your background and a photo.
  •  Ask friends and your family to give you feedback and suggestions on your text and images.

Try to collect all these things in a single text document that you can send by email. We'll exchange emails regularly as we tune up the content.
